Things To Do
Resort Activities
Whether it's playing volleyball with friends, swinging with the kids at the playground, tossing horseshoes, catching the sun on the beach, or taking a dip off the sandy shore, there is always something to do. After dark, gather around the magic of a campfire for roasting marshmallows, singing songs, or just plain good conversation. You can also enjoy our kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, hydro-bikes, paddleboat, and canoes. All are included when you book a reservation. Life jackets must be worn by every person on these items.
Area Activities
Turtle Races: Longville’s iconic Turtle Races have been enjoyed by children of all ages for the last 50 years. Back in the mid-60s, Russ Nyvall started the races to provide some special summer entertainment for residents and visitors. Every Wednesday afternoon from June through late August, swimming beaches go strangely quiet; cabins, motels, cottages, and resorts empty out; and streams of cars descend on the little town of Longville to race turtles.
